Yimlei Molly Yep

Canadian Yimlei Molly Yep grew up in Montreal and graduated from McGill University's School of Architecture at a time when the professional degree (Bachelor of Architecture) was a six-year program within the Faculty of Engineering. As a summer student, she documented buildings in Old Montreal for their archives. After 25 years as a qualified architect for various firms in Canada and England, she retired to NOTL and took up Art and Taiji. While here, she taught architectural drawing by hand at the Willowbank School for nine years. Her first year students have measured and drawn in ink the Willowbank Estate and other buildings. Unfortunately, the beautiful original ink drawings of Willowbank Estate, which the students donated to the archives, disappeared when the former Laura Secord School was sold. She also taught principles of perspective and reverse-perspective drawings by hand and many aspects of drawing. Molly is pleased to be back.
