Admissions

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirement for the Diploma Program is a high school diploma or equivalent. The majority of our applicants have previously completed a college or university program, or have experience in one of the building trades. Many are refocusing their careers or are re-training for a new career.

A demonstrated passion for heritage in its broadest sense and a commitment to both hands-on and academic exploration of the conservation field is essential.

Unfortunately at this time, Willowbank cannot accept international students due to Ministry of Education requirements. We encourage prospective international applicants to check back for updates in future years.

All applicants must submit the following via email to willowbank@willowbank.ca:

  1. Completed application form DOWNLOAD NOW

  2. Official high school transcripts or equivalency certificate

  3. Two letters of reference

  4. A letter of intent for scholarship application (if applying)

  5. Official college or university transcripts (if applicable)

  6. Non-refundable application fee of $50 CAD

The next generation will need to sustain and make better use of Canada’s $6.7 trillion building stock (notably its tricky older component); and Willowbank can show the way.
