Dean McLellan is the first Master Craftsman in Canada Certified with the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain. He is also an instructor and examiner with the association. His work and instruction/examining takes his across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Dean has hosted close to a dozen international dry stone walling festivals and events which has brought together dry stone wallers from across the world and created some of the most iconic dry stone structures in Canada. He has instructed well into the thousands of students the craft of dry stone masonry.
When not using the dry stone techniques he is also fluent in restoration masonry as well as modern methods in stone. He is passionate about the craft and about ensuring that it lives on well past his lifespan. He is dedicated to using the craft to help, however it can, the First Nation peoples of North America and to follow in his grandfathers steps.
